About Us
The Istituto Marchigiano di Enogastronomia (IME) brings together the products and cultural landscapes of Le Marche under one brand. It is based in Jesi in the spaces of the 17th-century Palazzo Balleani Vecchio, a unique setting in the heart of the region.
The structure is organized as follows:
- In the basement, in the old palace stables, is the striking IME Experience. A multimedia path articulated in videos and touch screens to virtually visit production territories, discover processing techniques, learn about stories, traditions and curiosities of 30 products of excellence from our region. A tourist stepping stone to actually visit the narrated destinations;
- On the ground floor: entrance, IME Academy, info-point and minishop;
- On the second floor: the Balleani Room for tastings and lectures;
- On the second floor: the streaming room “Studio Marche”

IME offers a professional tool to interact with its consumer audience through webinars, interviews or live events; to organize remote tastings; to reach out to b2b and b2c clients, buyers, Italian and foreign industry professionals with conference calls and presentations; and to do promotion of the territory as a whole through the voice of the protagonists.

IME ACADEMY offers its courses to culinary enthusiasts, young (+18 years old) and not-so-young people who want to embark on a career path in the food and wine industry, as well as industry professionals who wish to update and supplement their professional backgrounds by acquiring higher levels of skills and specialization.

It is a sure attraction for tourism and for promoting the image of a region devoted to agriculture and products of excellence.
